BIPA Meeting – 122
At our latest BIPA meeting we were pleased to welcome Louise Smyth, Chief Exec of Companies House and Registrar of Companies along with her colleagues. Louise provided us with a very interesting overview of how Companies House adapted to keep fully functioning throughout the COVID crisis and also an update on other activities and policies that Companies House are currently looking at.
As I reflect on my time as BIPA chair as it comes to an end I am pleased to see that our general engagement with BEIS and Companies House has continued well over the period and long may it do so. The summer months has provided a respite in consultations being published that have required a BIPA response so it has also given us the opportunity to look at papers we wish to write and publish as a group. These will continue to raise awareness of how important Trade Credit is in the UK economy and that BIPA members will continue to promote economic growth by facilitating the access to business information.
I would like to thank all my Vistra colleagues for their support during my time as chair and wish Sharon Lankester from D&B all the best as the new chair.
